Last year, I wrote and shared about my experience creating my very first vision board. It was something that I wanted to do for a long time but always found an excuse to put off. Eventually, after seeing so many people talk about making their own vision boards & how it drastically changed their life, I decided I was done procrastinating. I gathered my family together & we made our vision boards together on New Years Day.
Throughout 2018, I kept my vision board on my closet door. Every day, I looked at it (even if it was just a glance) and was reminded of the goals I had set for myself.
Now that we are close to entering 2019, I decided I want to create a new vision board because I have tons of new goals that I want to put on it. As I was taking my vision board down, I started to reflect on how 2018 went & I was completely SHOCKED at my results…

Did I actually accomplish everything on my vision board?
No, not EVERYTHING. But I am proud to say that I did accomplish almost all of the items I placed on my board.
Here’s a quick recap on some of the things I accomplished that were represented on my vision board (bold & capitalized words match the words/images on my board)!
I put down my phone and made so many MEMORABLE moments with my family. I even did a 7-day social media cleanse so that I could be less distracted & be more present when spending time with my kids.
This past August I made it to the BEACH when I went to visit my one of my best friends in Los Angeles! It was my first time there & I had so much fun. I can’t wait to go back!
My SPIRITUALITY has transformed over the past year for the better. My relationship with God is the best it’s ever been.
I finally got my OFFICE space which I am totally in love with! I’m no longer working out of my bedroom & I’m in a space that inspires me to get shit done!
My BLOG is alive & thriving! I partnered with two amazing companies, Elite Excursions & Wine Tour and Sleepovers & Co. Not to mention my blog monthly views have doubled since last year.
I started working on my FINANCES & SAVING for the car I plan to purchase in January 2020! I’ve also been working on building & repairing my CREDIT. Which by the way, if you are working on building your credit I highly reccomend Self Lender – my credit score was raised 34 points after just one month of successful on-time payments.
I definitely CRUSHED MY JOB THIS YEAR! Not only did my position title change but I also got a raise #YAS
I got my butt back in the gym & have been killin’ the SQUAT game! When I started I could barely squat 40lbs and now I can squat 110lbs. #GAINZ
I’ve READ so many great books this year like The Purpose Driven Life, 101 Questions You Need to Ask in Your Twenties, and Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity, and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur!
I even got the DOG that I’ve been wanting for forever! You can read more how we got him in my April Life Update!
AND… on top of all that I STARTED SOMETHING NEW. Scroll down to find out more 🙂
Do vision boards really work?
Yes. Yes. 1,000 times YESSSS!! I honestly can’t believe I waited so long to make one. They are the secret to success!
Now in no way am I saying if you make a vision board & smack all your dreams on it that everything will just magically come true. If only it were that easy! You do still have to work hard to make your dreams a reality.
What a vision board does do though is visually hold you accountable. It’s different than just thinking about your goals and different than just saying them. I mean think about it, how many times have you thought about starting that business but still haven’t done it? Or how many times have you said you’re going to start eating healthier but have yet to make any changes in your diet?
VISUALIZATION IS POWERFUL PEOPLE!! When you spend time visualizing your future, it forces you to think about what you really want out of life. And when you hang your vision board it in a place where you can see it daily, you are subconsciously manifesting your dreams & inviting those things into your life.
VISION BOARDS WORK!!!
What new thing did I start?
Because I’ve had so much success with my vision board, I decided I want to help as many women as I can create their own so that they too can watch their dreams & goals come to life. January 5th, 2019 I will be hosting my VERY FIRST EVENT – A Ladies Night Out Vision Board Party! During this event, we will be coming together to create vision boards that represent all that we want to manifest in the new year. There will be food, drinks, giveaways, prizes, music, AND all supplies will be provided. All you have to do is show up & be ready to bring your vision to life!
If you’re in the metro-Atlanta area grab your bestie & come join me! You can register HERE until January 2nd.
